Lance has been a trial lawyer since 1972, starting out with the Houston firm of Butler & Binion after attending the University of Michigan School of Law and graduating with honors. Lance has handled a wide variety of cases, including Family Law. Prior to joining the firm in 2001, Lance was a member of the trial law firm of Helm, Pletcher, Bowen & Saunders, L.L.P. where he represented plaintiffs in major personal injury and death cases. He has given many speeches and written many articles about various topics relating to trial law, and he is a member of various organizations of trial lawyers including the Texas and Houston Trial Lawyers Associations.
