Carl attended the University of Texas School of Law where he was awarded the Dean’s Achievement Award in Evidence. While in law school, Carl also attended UT’s Graduate School of Business. After graduating from law school in 1989, Carl joined the trial law firm of Helm, Pletcher, Bowen & Saunders, L.L.P. where he worked on major personal injury and death cases and handled appellate work for the firm. After joining the firm in 1997, Carl has worked on a wide variety of cases at the trial and appellate level focusing primarily on large commercial cases.He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas and all Texas Courts. He is a member of various organizations of lawyers including the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Houston Bar Association.
