Scott G. Burdine

 

Scott attended the University of Texas School of Law where he won several moot court and mock trial competitions, was a member of the school National Mock Trial team, and attained membership in the Order of Barristers. Scott has been practicing law since 1985, starting with the Houston-based firm of Vinson & Elkins where he worked on a variety of business transactions in the corporate, real estate, energy and health industry areas. In 1988, at the firm of Hill, Parker, Franklin, Cardwell & Jones, Scott began doing trial work, focusing on the prosecution and defense of clients in a wide variety of business, personal injury and professional malpractice cases. He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law, is a member of various organizations of lawyers including the Texas and Houston Trial Lawyers Associations and is a frequent speaker on the topic of ethics in the litigation practice. He is a Fellow of the Houston and Texas Bar Foundations. In addition, Scott has been President of the University of Texas Law Alumni Association and has served on the University of Texas Law School Executive Committee since 1993. He is active in the community, having served as President of the West University Little League, a member of the Boards of the West University Little League and Softball Association, and as a little league and soccer coach for his three children.
